After eight years in the recruitment industry, I felt it was time to start my own business based on my own values and wanting to create a better business culture. I value honesty first and foremost, and I look for this both in the clients I work with and the consultants I employ. My team combines 45 years of recruitment and employee retention experience. We proudly service clients across the United Kingdom and we provide temporary and permanent recruitment services and bespoke advertising campaigns to support businesses of all sizes and across all business sectors.

Jackie RobinsonResourcing Consultant
Jackie joined the Laura Hartley team in September 2019 having worked in recruitment for the past 18 years. Jackie brings with her an abundance of knowledge and is committed and focused on helping both clients and candidates find the employment solution right for them. Jackie has made an excellent addition to the ever-growing team; she specialises in Commercial recruitment – HR, Admin, Customer Service, Marketing, Sales – but also spending 2 years within volume Contact Centre recruitment. Outside of the office Jackie enjoys travelling to new places and going for nice meals out with her husband.
Aysha YounesOffice Manager
Aysha returned from Dubai after six years and was privileged to have met people from across the world with a whole host of nationalities and cultures. She fell in love with helping people maximise their potential when she was only a teenager. Since then, Aysha quickly developed a deep passion for supporting people on the path to successful careers. This resolve stuck with her throughout her life leading her to work within the recruitment and training industry. Over 15 years later, Aysha is now Office Manager for the LHR team. “I love coming in to work and I can’t wait to see where we go next.” She is happy spending time with her husband and young children, travelling both at home and abroad.

Laura HartleyManaging Director
Laura started LHR Recruitment and Retention in April 2009 after eight years of experience as a recruiter. Laura continually looks to develop the business, grow and nurture client relationships, and provide unique services. Laura recently started a second business called Hartley People Retention Consultancy, which supports SME’s with recruitment auditing, onboarding, interview support and psychometric profiling. Laura is a qualified Business Coach, an ambassador of NWEEG and serves on the IoD Lancashire Committee. When she gets a break, you’ll find her winding down at her caravan with her dog Henry, a bottle of pink fizz and spending some quality time with her friends.
Henry HartleyTeam Mascot
Henry joined the business at eight weeks old in January 2017. Henry is an apricot toy poodle and the company mascot. We are considering moving Henry to Business Development as clients sometimes visit just to see him! Henry is a regular visitor to the office… sitting on everyone’s lap and receiving cuddles. Henry enjoys an active social life. He visits clients for playdates and sees his friends at Doggy Day Care. His favourite food is tuna, chicken, melon and doggy treats. At the weekend he goes on long walks on the beach or the nature reserve near the family caravan.
