Job Title:          Product Owner

Salary:             $25-$35 per Hour

GeniusU is looking for a talented Product Owner who can become a part of our Assessments project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing the end-to-end launch of the platform, with a strong focus on the customer journey throughout. In this role, you will create, develop, own, and execute the product roadmap for customers. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. We need a BA who can devote a minimum of 30+ hours per week, preferably based on the needs of the project up to 40 hours per week (hour-based contract), with the opportunity to step up to a full-time contract.

The Product Owner will have a solid experience and knowledge in the following:

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and implementing solutions
  • Performing detailed requirements analysis, performing competitors’ research, documenting requirements, and performing user acceptance testing
  • Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems, share ideas and findings
  • Translating product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
  • Documenting and communicating the development results
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with stakeholders and producing useful reports
  • Working closely with key stakeholders, technicians, partners, and real users
  • Updating, implementing, and maintaining documentation.

For the Product Owner role it is essential you have the following experience/skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in Product management or a related field
  • Business analyst background
  • Excellent documentation skills and good with technology
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • User- and data- focused
  • Strong logical analysis skills, capable of troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis
  • Good at translating product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
  • Define and execute the go-to-market plan
  • Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance
