National Account Manager, Burnley (Job Ref: 1560)

Salary: £25-32K DOE with good benefits including 10% pension contribution

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to work within the sales team, who will drive new sales opportunities, grow our range and continue to develop relationships with key contacts.

You will make regular customer visits to new customers but be also expected to visit existing customers and take on the management of these key accounts.

You will identify and target appropriate sales opportunities, actively seeking to win back business as well as bringing on board new business, increase the product range offering to clients and present new ranges/promotions where relevant.Planning and prioritising your sales activities and customer contact is a must and will ensure you achieve the agreed business objectives.

Previous sales/account management experience is preferred and you will need to be an excellent communicator and relationship builder. You will be highly organised in your preparation of a successful sales process and must have sold B2B. You will be an approachable, honest individual who is confident and looking for a new challenge. Are client are NOT hard sellers and there is a limited amount of cold calling, though there’s an expectation to win/retain and grow new and existing business. I’m also interested in taking to someone who may have some people management skills.

What are the main duties and responsibilities of the role?
Management of current accounts within the order book
Contacting new and lapsed accounts
Customer visits – head office level
Presenting current and new ranges
Price presentations and the preparation of product costings
Driving sales and promotions, growing the range, developing relationships within the buying and merchandising teams
Answering incoming calls from both new and existing customers
